I'm Darya. Canadian-born, Persian-rooted, and now based in Antigua, Guatemala — where I plan weddings for couples who want their day to feel like theirs, not like a template.
Why I started DK Productions
I once planned my own wedding in Antigua from a country away. I learned the hard way how easy it is to become "just another booking" — to feel like a budget line on a spreadsheet rather than a couple about to start a life together. Costs were quietly inflated. Vendor relationships were transactional. Decisions were rushed because no one was protecting our time.
When I moved to Guatemala five years ago, I started building the network of vendors, venues, and craftspeople I wished I'd had access to back then. I learned which florist actually shows up at 6 a.m. on a Saturday. Which caterer will rework a menu when a guest's allergy gets discovered the day-of. Which photographer disappears into the moment instead of staging it.
DK Productions is built around that experience. Canadian-bred organization, Persian-rooted emphasis on hospitality and family, and five years of local expertise in one of the most beautiful — and logistically tricky — wedding destinations in the world.
Because this isn't just an event. It's your love story. And it deserves to be handled with intention, honesty, and heart.
